Signal & Circuitry : Tigers & Flies Capturing New Frequencies

Studio transmissions: Manchester, February 2025

Somewhere between the rain-slicked streets of Manchester and the hum of vintage preamps, Tigers & Flies have been quietly assembling something worth paying attention to. February found the five-piece holed up in a studio space that smells of coffee and valve amplifiers, laying down tracks with the kind of focus that only comes when you're outgrowing your earlier selves.

The horns cut cleaner now. The rhythms lock in tighter. Something's shifted since those early days – less seaside charm, more urban precision. Arthur's lyrics have taken on a new economy, while Eddie's basslines seem to map territories previously unexplored. When Matteo's trumpet converses with Risha's trombone, you can hear the sound of a band that's found its voice by refusing the obvious path.

What happens when five talented friends convene with a purpose? We're not quite ready to tell you everything, but the evidence suggests something worth clearing space for in your collection. Summer will reveal all.
